Panera Bread – New Restaurant Construction in Yuba City, CA

Panera Bread has over 2,000 bakery cafes in the U.S. and Canada. Their goal is to serve the ten million people who visit each week food that is both good and good for them while offering a great dining experience. As a qualified contractor; Hilbers Inc. completed this restaurant construction, Yuba City project.

Hilbers recently completed construction on a brand new Panera Bread near the intersection of Hwy 99 and Hwy 20 in Yuba City, CA. This new 4457-square-foot restaurant will have the opportunity to serve many, as this is a highly trafficked location.

Hilbers has built or remodeled hundreds of restaurants for over 50 years. This was our first Panera Bread restaurant construction project. The location was chosen by the franchisee, Pan America Group – the second largest Panera franchisee, operating 131 locations in 8 states. This intersection, known for its large amount of passing traffic, played a large part in the franchisee’s choice to open in Yuba City.

Ground-Up Restaurant Construction with Drive Thru

This bakery café was constructed from the ground up over approximately four months. The location was built to the latest floor plan and design. It offers online ordering and features an outdoor seating area as well as a drive thru.

Supporting the Community with Local Partnerships

The Pan American team and Hilbers Construction share a passion for serving communities. For this project we partnered with our local Yuba City subsidiary Big S Asphalt for grading, asphalt work, and striping. The Hilbers project manager John Fitch and project superintendent Tom Tomberlin worked closely with the Panera construction team. General Manager for this new bakery is a Yuba City local, Janna Downs.
