Hilbers Inc., an established national general contractor, is looking for talented, skilled, and dedicated Team Players with a minimum 5 years supervising commercial construction projects, who wants to be part of the business growth and success of an industry recognized company. We are looking for an ambitious and competitive in nature individual to match the company’s goals and expectations. This person will work on large and small projects to including but not limited to retail, restaurant, health clubs, office, medical, educational facilities, churches, hospitality, multi family, fueling centers, industrial, public works, and more.
Construction Superintendents complete organizational and project management responsibilities to effectively lead the construction team and ensure they have all the resources they need. They will have the following duties and responsibilities. They have strong eye for safety and QC requirements ensuring that the projects in which they are involved in are completed with the quality standards that Hilbers Inc has been known for-for decades which has provided many repeat clientele opportunities safely and productively. Must be able to work well with immediate Team of Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Executive, Safety Coordinator and General Superintendent.
- Mileage paid on travel work**

- Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
- Create and maintain schedules for workers and subcontractors 3-week look ahead and master schedules
- Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
- Manage Jobsite safety
- Responsible for overall QC implementation on projects including review and verification of project material and design submittals.
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
- Effectively and successfully manage the overall operations of individual projects of value range between 100k-30M
Establish partnerships with owners, contractors, architects, AHJ’s and subcontractors to gain their cooperation when dealing with any items to be resolved during the construction process

Job Description/Requirements
Hilbers is currently seeking a full-time Paving Foreman with substantial experience to spearhead our paving crew. This is a long-term local position, offering $40-$45 per hour plus benefits, contingent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Asphalt Paving Crew, focusing on safety, quality, and personnel management
- Schedule work for paving crews in coordination with our Dispatcher
- Manage field operations, and conduct mechanical equipment repairs as required
- Supervise and occasionally perform work in other trades (concrete, trucking, seal coating)
- Uphold safety and environmental policies, along with OSHA rules and regulations
- Develop hourly personnel to meet performance requirements
- Occasionally travel and/or work on weekends
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate various construction equipment including Paving Machine, Screed, Cold Planer, and others
- Bilingual (Preferred)
- Proficient in paving roadways, parking lots, and pothole repair
- Able to supervise crews of 6-12 people
- Proficient interaction with asphalt plants and subcontractors
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Paving Foreman
- Must pass a drug test and physical examination
- Clean driving record and valid California Drivers License (CDL Preferred)
