As an experienced restaurant construction general contractor, Hilbers Inc. was the choice for Buckhorn Restaurants to use us to construct their latest endeavor. Having worked with them on the downtown Sacramento “Buckhorn Grill” and the Galleria Mall restaurant, we were the natural choice to bring the Buckhorn Tri-tip to the venerable Nut Tree site.
Buckhorn Grill is part of the Buckhorn Restaurant Group. The group includes the Buckhorn Steakhouse located in the De Vilbiss Hotel in Winters, CA. The De Vilbiss Hotel was constructed on the corner of Main and Railroad Avenue in Winters in 1889 by John A. De Vilbiss, a prominent Winters rancher. There are currently 11 Buckhorn Grill restaurants. Hilbers Inc. is also at work on the 12th restaurant located in the Nut Tree retail complex in Vacaville, CA. The idea of the Buckhorn Grill was born out of the success of the product at the Chef’s Market in Napa, California. Thousands of Tri-Tip sandwiches were sold at the market on Friday nights. The first Buckhorn Grill opened in the Metreon, located in San Francisco, California, in 1999. Each Buckhorn Grill is uniquely designed and provides a friendly, family atmosphere with Really Good Food and real Fast. The Hilbers Inc. is a restaurant builder with over 50 years of experience as a commercial contractor.
