Hilbers Inc is leading the transformation of the Hayward Retail Center in Hayward, California, through an extensive redevelopment and site improvement project designed to modernize and revitalize this key commercial property. The scope includes significant offsite infrastructure upgrades, most notably the installation of a new traffic signal to enhance accessibility, improve traffic circulation, and support increased visitor flow to the center. Onsite improvements encompass the complete replacement of existing site work, including paving, utilities, and landscaping, as well as the addition of two new frontage pads specifically designed to accommodate fast-food drive-thru restaurants, offering added convenience and visibility for future tenants. The project also involves the interior demolition of the primary existing structure to make way for the construction of three new major retail tenant spaces, along with seven additional shop spaces—all built to modern design and performance standards. Once complete, the development will span approximately 84,640 square feet, delivering a refreshed and highly functional retail environment that supports a diverse mix of businesses and serves as a vibrant commercial destination for the Hayward community.
