GAP Factory Store

Hilbers Inc undertook a comprehensive tenant improvement project for the GAP Factory Store located in Van Nuys, California, focused on transforming the retail space to better meet the brand’s evolving needs. The scope began with extensive interior demolition, which included the removal of the existing storefront and selective demolition within the interior to facilitate a complete reconfiguration of the space. This redemising effort optimized the store layout, enhancing both traffic flow and merchandising opportunities. Integral to the project was the upgrade and replacement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment and fixtures, ensuring the space met modern standards for energy efficiency, safety, and operational performance. A new high-performance storefront system was installed to improve the building’s curb appeal and provide enhanced natural lighting, while also contributing to better thermal performance and durability. Throughout the project, Hilbers Inc maintained close collaboration with the client and subcontractors, managing all phases with precision to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless transition. The result is a revitalized retail environment that aligns with GAP Factory Store’s brand identity, supports operational efficiency, and offers an inviting shopping experience for customers.
